Ingredients

For the Dough:

✔ 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
✔ 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
✔ 2 tbsp granulated sugar
✔ 1 tsp salt
✔ ¾ cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
✔ ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
✔ 1 large egg

For the Herb & Garlic Filling:

✔ ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
✔ 3 cloves garlic (minced)
✔ 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
✔ 1 tbsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
✔ 1 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
✔ ½ tsp salt
✔ ¼ tsp black pepper
✔ ½ cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)

For Brushing:

✔ 2 tbsp melted butter
✔ ½ tsp garlic powder
✔ 1 tbsp fresh parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg, then mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes (or use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 3-4 minutes) until smooth.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

2. Prepare the Herb & Garlic Filling

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, rosemary, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Stir in parmesan cheese (if using) for extra flavor.

3. Roll & Shape the Swirls

  1. Punch down the dough and roll it into a 12×18-inch rectangle on a floured surface.
  2. Spread the herb & garlic butter mixture evenly over the dough.
  3. Roll the dough tightly from the long side, like a cinnamon roll.
  4. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

4. Final Rise & Bake

  1. Cover with a towel and let the rolls rise for 30 minutes until puffy.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until golden brown.

5. Brush & Serve

  1. Mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley.
  2. Brush over the warm rolls for extra flavor.
