Ingredients

For the White Sauce

4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
3 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional)

For the Lasagna Layers

12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
1 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
1/2 lb crab meat (lump or imitation)
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 egg
1 tsp dried parsley
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for extra richness)


Instructions

1. Prepare the White Sauce

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Slowly pour in milk and heavy cream, whisking until smooth.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning.
  5. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened, then set aside.

2. Cook the Seafood

  1. In a skillet, cook shrimp over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, until pink and opaque.
  2. Stir in crab meat, then remove from heat.

3. Prepare the Ricotta Mixture

  1. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and parsley until well combined.

4. Assemble the Lasagna

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread a thin layer of white sauce on the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  3. Add a layer of lasagna noodles.
  4. Spread ricotta mixture, then add shrimp and crab.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, then drizzle with white sauce.
  6. Repeat layers, finishing with noodles, white sauce, and shredded mozzarella + cheddar cheese.

5. Bake the Lasagna

  1. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  3. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
